There is one retailer here in the UK selling MaxTrax that I can find and they are charging about twice the price that they sell for in Australia. We do have similar products that appear to be not as heavy duty but some people I have spoke to think they are a waste of money.

Someone suggested 3 bakers bread trays,

It has been suggested that cut the sides off, and cut the base in half which gives you 6 grip mats, each about 9 inch wide and 2 feet long.

It's just getting hold of them.

Getting stuck in a field?

Makes me wonder Greg, whether or not you would benefit from a 4WD recovery kit or MaxTrax? Might be just what you need to get some traction out of the mud if you were to get stuck.

Don't know if you can get them in the UK but you can find out about MaxTrax here: https://www.maxtrax.com.au/
